Learn to Play Hockey! (JK, SK or Grade 1 children)

Ancaster Minor Hockey League invites girls and boys with or without skating experience in the Hamilton area to join the Canadian Hockey Initiation Program (CHIPs). Using a structured and comprehensive on-ice curriculum with Kelly Reed Hockey, each skater learns the skills of hockey while making friends and having fun.

Kelly Reed Selected to Work with Initiation Program

The AMHL is excited to announce that Kelly Reed Hockey and Powerskating has been awarded the contract to work with the Initiation Program for the 2011-2012 Season.

Kelly and his team, along with some carefully selected volunteers will take on all of the on-ice responsibilities of the CHIPs program this year, and will be leading both hours of CHIPs on Saturday mornings each week.

In addition, and as an added benefit to the Mite and Tyke teams, we will have Kelly Reed on the ice for a number of sessions for team practices during the year. Kelly's experience, his fantastic rapport with students (and the fact that he's a local Ancaster resident) all helped with our decision to bring him in for the season. This is an exciting time as we continue to improve hockey at this level for these new skaters. Please contact chips@ancasterminorhockey.com with questions.
