Hockey Jersey's For Charity Saturday January 14, 2012 (1pm to 5pm)
A huge thank you to everyone who brought in old hockey jersey's on Saturday January 14, 2011 and donated them to the "Hockey Jersey's for Charity" program. Over 350 jerseys were donated!

Bring any old hockey jerseys that are gathering dust to Morgan Firestone Arena on Saturday January 14, 2012 between 1pm and 5pm and donate them to the "Hockey Jersey's for Charity" program.
This program distributes the jersey's to needy people in Peru and other parts of the world.
Hockey Night in Canada will be there to do an interview with Ronald Reeleder, the founder of the Hockey Jersey's for Charity program.

All jersey varieties (rep, house league, any size, any team, any league any country) are welcome! Smaller sizes (kids rather than adult) are preferred since most of the jersey's will be donated to children.
When you donate a jersey, you will receive a photo of the recipient wearing the jersey.
Hockey Jersey's for Charity is the brainchild of Ronald Reeleder, a local Ancaster resident (presently the Pastry Chef at Cavallo Nero in Ancaster).
| "For the last few years I have been climbing mountains to raise money for the MS Society. Three years ago it was Kilimanjaro in Africa, two years ago it was Everest Base Camp in Nepal and last year it was Machu Picchu in Peru. While on these trips I have seen that there is so much more we could be doing to help others with the simplest things and last year when I went to Peru I took a few hockey jersey's along with me to give away. They were such a huge success that I came up with the "Hockey Jersey's For Charity" idea. |

The
idea is to take as many Hockey Jerseys around the world to give to people and children that could use the simplest thing as a jersey to keep warm! The jerseys can be any size, any team, any league or any country! When someone donates a jersey(s) they will recieve a photo of the recipient wearing their jersey!"
