About House League
Ancaster Minor Hockey has three levels of house league hockey:
Levels of Hockey
Initiation Program (CHIPS)
A Hockey Canada sanctioned 'learn to play' program for new players. The focus is on having fun, engaging in physical activity, learning the fundamental skills to play hockey while introducing the concepts of cooperation and fair play.
House League
Provides an opportunity for fun and physical exercise in a team environment. Emphasis is on improving skills, learning rules of the game and fair play.
Players participate in a Mass Evaluation Practice in mid-September and begin the season about two weeks later. Teams typically practice once a week and play once a week.
Hamilton-Wentworth Interlock House League
This League is an extension of House League and abides by the same principles. It involves players in our Juvenile Division. The Interlock League includes teams in Ancaster, Beverly, Dundas, Flamborough and Stoney Creek.

Volunteers
Ancaster Minor Hockey is a volunteer based organization which operates successfully because of the dedicated contributions of our parent volunteers who not only coach and manage our teams, but also manage and operate the Association and it's activities throughout the year.
