Hockey Jersey's for Charity Act II

Thanks to everyone who donated jerseys on Saturday January 14 to the "Hockey Jersey's for Charity" program. Over 350 jersey's were donated!!

CBC was there to cover the story and it will air on Hockey Day in Canada on Saturday February 11, 2012.

Super Saturday Volunteers Needed

Volunteers are needed for the most exciting day of the season - Super Saturday on March 3, 2012 at Morgan Firestone Arena.

We need volunteers to setup, take-down, time keep, introduce players at games, hand out pizza, distribute trophies, etc. Please help us out in any way you can, even if it’s only for a few hours.

Novice and Peewee Stars Win Gold in Christmas Tournaments

The Ancaster Novice House League Stars won the Glanbrook tournament while the Peewee Stars captured gold in the Lawfield tournament over the Christmas break. Congratulations to both teams on an outstanding effort!

The Avalanche Peewee and Bantam Select teams captured silver medals in their respective divisions at the Chedoke Christmas tournament.

New Rules for Head Contact Penalties

The 2011 Hockey Canada AGM has addressed the issue of Head Contact and continued commitment to zero tolerance measures in this area, and has implemented Rule Changes which will come into effect immediately for the 2011-2012 season.

Free Hockey Helmets for 5 Year Olds

The OMHA is proud to support a new Hockey Canada initiative which provides future players with brand-new/safe hockey helmets. Chevrolet launched a “Hockey Helmet Program” on August 19th, which will provide every 5 year old player [Born in 2006] that registers with Ancaster Minor Hockey (a member of the OMHA) a FREE Bauer hockey helmet.
