Major Bantam AA, 2012-2013, A (Ancaster Minor Hockey)

Congratulations on a great season boys! Results: Game 1  - Oakville 3 Ancaster 1 Game 2  - Ancaster 1 Oakville 0 Game 3 -  Ancaster 1 Oakville 1 Game 4 - Ancaster 4 Oakville 3 (overtime) Game 5 - Oakville 2 Ancaster 1 (overtime) Game 6 - Oakville 2 Ancaster 1 Oakville wins Series.

The Major Bantam AA's won the championship of the Waterloo Memorial Tournament (Nov 16-18) by defeating the London Junior Knights 4-2 in the final. The Avalanche went undefeated in the tournament with a 6-0 record.In the round robin, the Avalanche beat the Cambridge Hawks 3-2, the Kitchener Jr. Rangers 3-0, the Hamilton Huskies 6-2 and the Barrie Colts 3-0. In the semi's, they defeated the Stratford Warriors 6-2 to advance to the championship final. Congratulations on an outstanding tournament!

As most of you are aware, Tina Cassar, mother of Mitchell and wife of Coach Mike is battling breast cancer.   Tina’s strength and courage throughout her ordeal is a true inspiration to all who come in contact with her. We have been throwing around ideas of ways the players could show their support for Tina…..pink hockey tape, pink laces, etc.  We have settled on pink ribbon patches for our home jerseys. We will be arranging to have the patches ironed on to the jerseys in the near future.   GO Tina!  Go Av's!
